Project Description

Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, the world’s largest two-tier cricket stadium, is located in a land area of 63.75 acres and built-up area of 182,600 sqm to hold a capacity of 132,000 spectators. Its structure is pre-cast concrete consisting of Y-columns, radial & circumferential beams, rakers & bleachers, and structural PTFE membrane steel roof. Its premises are equipped with VIP pavilion having corporate boxes, club house, Olympic-standard swimming pool, indoor cricket academy with practice pitches, more than 16,000 parking slots for 4-wheelers and 2-wheelers, and other ancillary structures.

Assystem STUP was called upon to provide its full spectrum of project management and construction supervision services to deliver a stadium that is energy efficient, thereby contributing to its gold standard certification from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) under its Green New Buildings Rating System. Our teams also supported the pre-award tendering phase, suggesting modifications to contracts and evaluating the technical and financial parameters of bids to ensure the competency of each bidder and the high quality of the project.

We have been conferred with an Award of Merit by the International Federation of Engineering Consultants (FIDIC) in recognition of our project management expertise extended for this project.
