The development of the Vijayawada airport has helped facilitate tourism and hinterland logistics, and lead to the growth of manufacturing, trade and other commercial activities such as offices, hotels, convention centers, medical facilities, trade centers, business parks, manufacturing facilities and skill development centers. The passenger terminal building, with an area of approx. 9200 sqm, has been built with international standards and with superior finishing works across civil, electrical, airport systems, information technology, etc.
