The Sindhudurg airport is a greenfield innovative project, which includes a component-based flexible floor plate that can respond to the changing business plans of the developer and the airline industry, and an Airport Village which provides a comfortable shaded atmosphere for the visitors to this facility. The passenger terminal building has an area of 9250 sqm and a peak hour capacity of 200 departing and 200 arriving passengers.

The Assystem Stup scope included consultancy work for master planning, detailed project report, detailed design of the passenger terminal building, Air Traffic Control (ATC) and technical building and all other buildings, airside and landside works, infrastructure, airfield ground lighting etc. as well as the business plan and techno feasibility study for this Public-Private Partnership (PPP) airport. We were also entrusted with design and comprehensive project management services for the entire airport development. A signature feature of this airport is the flowing roof and the coconut palm skylight, which defines the ambience of this unique airport, located in Sylvan coastal surroundings in the lush green Konkan belt of India.
