Design & Construction Supervision of a SUME Substation
France
Grids
Project Description
In order to resolve the so-called classic N-2 constraints, a leading group in the energy sector is reinforcing a SUME(1) power substation (225 / 20 kva) in Paris by replacing the existing transformer with two new ones. This power substation will supply the first 20kv external ring in Paris, notably during the 2024 Olympic Games. It will be built in an extremely dense urban area with contiguous residential buildings. Some of the constraints include safety and protection of people, operation and maintenance, and environmental performance.
We’ve been onboarded to study and supervise the construction of the building within the framework of a complete project management services agreement, as part of a consortium of several companies. Our scope includes intervention in all project management phases such as carrying out various studies, managing and realising the digital mock-up (BIM under REVIT), and contributing to the estimate of the works budget.
The technical perimeter carried out by us included roads and miscellaneous networks, structural works, structures (metal & wood), high/low voltage currents, and boilermaking.
