Assystem has recently completed the major work of Detailed Design Consultancy services for the Indore Metro Rail Project’s Yellow Line. Commissioned by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited in Madhya Pradesh, this project involved designing and constructing sixteen elevated metro rail stations, inclusive of viaduct portions and transition spans on either side. Our scope of work encompassed all civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical aspects, along with architectural elements and the viaduct connecting the depot to the interface location.
For our outstanding work on this project, Assystem has been rewarded with a letter of appreciation from RVNL, recognizing the incredible efforts of our deployed team commending the proactive and strategic approach of the team in executing the track work of the first phase of civil work in a record time of 22 months. The letter also stated how the efficient coordination and swift management of Assystem’s team demonstrated a collaborative spirit vital for seamless working relationship in a stringent deadline.
The Indore Metro is poised to make significant contributions to the city’s environment and transportation efficiency substantially reducing the city’s pollution levels by enabling 600 people to travel together in a single train while decreasing GHG emissions being electrically powered. In addition, this metro system is expected to alleviate congestion issues by easing traffic flow and improving urban mobility.
Vikas Chopra, Chief Operations Officer, Assystem in India, said, “Assystem is honored to contribute to this transformative project, which promises to enhance the quality of life in Indore through sustainable and efficient transportation solutions.”
